Soleá, soleares is one of the most basic forms or "palos" of Flamenco music, probably originating around Cádiz or Seville in Andalusia, the most southern region of Spain. It is normally accompanied by one guitar only, in the key of E phrygian, although it is also heard in A phrygian, relatively often. (wikipedia)
Stochelo Rosenberg was born in a gypsy camp in Helmond, on Februari 19th, 1968. He has 4 brothers and 1 sister and was the first son of Mimer Rosenberg and Metz Grunholz. He started playing guitar at age 10, taught by his father and his uncle Wasso Grunholz, but most he learned from listening to his hero Django Reinhardt. At age 12, Stochelo won the first price on a tv concours, toghether with his nephew Nous'che Rosenberg (rhythm guitar) and Rino van Hooydonk (bassguitar).

His voice could sound like a moan, whisper, yell, or trombone solo, with seemingly effortless ease — unless he constricted his throat for an even stronger effect — and the slide guitar parts could evoke the same. In a couple of songs, he sings about the wind howling, then the driving guitar rhythm suddenly stops for a moment, while Johnson slides up to a single note that can raise the hair on the back of your neck."
